As a Tech Project Consultant at UnitedHealth Group / Optum, you will be accountable for leading and driving the success of Client Delivery implementation projects from contract to deployment. You will manage complex projects with shifting deadlines and scope within a highly collaborative, cross-matrixed environment.
What You'll Do
- Lead and drive the success of Client Delivery implementation projects, ensuring success from contract to deployment by leveraging project or program management methodologies and tools
- Partner with the client and internal stakeholders to confirm project scope and identify specific tasks, duration, and effort required for successful execution
- Collect, analyze, and maintain financial forecast and budget information using input from applicable sources
- Develop, communicate, and implement program/project status reporting as well as risk/issue management plans and strategies
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and apply quality objectives, criteria, standards, and levels using appropriate quality management methods
- Manage and track work across various matrixed delivery partners
- Demonstrate clear, professional, and effective verbal and written communication when interacting with clients, stakeholders, and leadership
- Maintain availability to support the business during the client’s standard business hours, including meetings scheduled to align with client time zones
- Exhibit flexibility to ensure seamless collaboration, timely responsiveness, and continuity of service in support of client needs
What We're Looking For
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years experience in tracking, planning projects, working with large data sets and making data-driven analytical decisions
- Experience acting as a liaison between business and technical teams
- Healthcare industry experience
- Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely to leadership
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple demands and competing deadlines
- Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Smartsheet
Nice to Have
- PMP Certification
- Six Sigma / Lean certification
- Experience with Risk Adjustment, Quality, HEDIS programs, health plan chart retrieval and coding
