Amplo is seeking a hands-on Tech Lead to architect and build the core of our next-generation, cloud-native platform. You will lead from zero to one, making key architectural decisions and writing code to create a system that powers mission-critical workflows for thousands of users.
What You'll Do
- Architect and develop amplo's new cloud-native system from the ground up, selecting the tech stack, infrastructure, and design patterns for scale and reliability.
- Write code, review pull requests, and own technical decisions that define how amplo builds software.
- Work directly with the CEO, product, and customer teams to design solutions that deliver measurable impact.
- Identify, interview, and onboard top technical talent. Break complex designs into modular components for team execution.
- Balance near-term delivery with long-term architectural decisions, ensuring builds for scalability and innovation.
- Design intelligent systems that use AI to extract, enrich, and unify data from disparate sources.
- Build an intelligent platform that collects data once and distributes it automatically to multiple carriers.
- Design systems that can interpret and transform legacy fixed-width AL3 text files while evolving toward modern, API-based integrations.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in backend or full-stack development, building production-grade distributed systems.
- Proven experience designing scalable, high-availability systems and making pragmatic trade-offs across architecture, performance, and delivery speed.
- Strong understanding of modern cloud technologies, databases, and API development.
- Experience mentoring engineers and leading end-to-end technical initiatives.
- Comfortable working in fast-moving, early-stage environments where ambiguity is the norm.
- Passionate about building for impact and helping reshape legacy industries through technology.
