Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is hiring a Teamcenter Dev IT Apps Designer to design, develop, test, and implement complex enterprise applications. You will serve as a technical expert within the PLM portfolio, focusing on building robust solutions that meet the high-performance demands of aerospace manufacturing.
What You'll Do
- Create complex software designs at the component level based on application architecture and detailed business requirements.
- Develop complex algorithms and data structures.
- Assist with translating logical data design to physical database design.
- Develop strategies for monitoring, preventive maintenance, and disaster recovery of complex applications.
- Ensure solution designs meet requirements for scalability, performance, and quality per service level agreements.
- Participate in the assessment and resolution of complex software defects.
- Assist project management with developing work breakdown structures, project plans, and required skills for implementation.
- Participate in design reviews for implementation projects.
- Conduct technical evaluations.
- Lead the review, business case development, and implementation of software development tools, methodology, and standards.
- Serve as a liaison with suppliers for sustaining activities.
- Assist with the evaluation and recommendation of purchased software packages and supporting services.
- Support management in recruiting and hiring.
- Mentor junior staff on building and maintaining application systems.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant curriculum, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 8 years of experience as an IT professional with broad experience across multiple IT disciplines.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Siemens Teamcenter PLM in a manufacturing or engineering environment, including Easy Plan.
- Deep familiarity with Teamcenter and its manufacturing modules.
- Hands-on experience with Easy Plan to support manufacturing process planning, BOM reconciliation (EBOM/MBOM), and work instruction management.
- Experience with MBOM/EBOM workflows and change/configuration management.
- Ability to configure Teamcenter data models, workflows, and lifecycle processes using tools like BMIDE or configuration scripting.
- Knowledge of Active Workspace client for Easy Plan and Teamcenter.
- Experience with an IDE (IntelliJ) and using SQL (Oracle SQL).
- Experience with Kotlin or the ability to learn Kotlin to understand GAC customizations to Teamcenter.
- Experience implementing or configuring PLM solutions in real production scenarios, including change management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Expertise in one or more software development languages.
- Solid understanding of system lifecycle methodologies, software development tools, and standards.
- Proven experience working in teams and proficiency with MS Office.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and completely, and to identify tasks requiring automation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of explaining complex procedures and writing proposals and presentations.
- Ability to provide technical direction for application development teams.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Nice to Have
- Experience with MPP and other Teamcenter manufacturing packages.
- Manufacturing process planning experience.
- Experience working with multi-site or global manufacturing implementations.
- Certifications in Teamcenter PLM or Siemens PLM topics.
- Familiarity with Agile or iterative project delivery.
- Prior exposure to digital manufacturing standards or Lean manufacturing roles.
- IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) exposure.
- Proficiency with an Integrated Development Environment (IDE).
- A Master's degree may offset one year of experience; a PhD may offset two years.
