About the Role

Standard Chartered is hiring a Team Leader, Telesales to join our Client Centre in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. In this pivotal role, you will drive telesales performance, working closely with Senior Management to implement effective sales strategies and oversee daily operations. You will foster a team culture centered on excellence and integrity while ensuring high-quality customer interactions.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, execute, and monitor detailed sales activity plans aligned with business objectives and sales targets.
  • Conduct rigorous tracking, evaluation, and analysis of sales performances against budgets and KPIs to drive improvement.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Standard Chartered’s sales processes and group policies, mitigating risk and upholding high ethical standards.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance sales program efficiency by gathering and sharing feedback on processes and systems.
  • Manage resolution workflows for customer complaints and feedback to ensure rapid, satisfactory outcomes.
  • Build, motivate, and equip a sales team with the skills necessary to achieve individual and collective goals.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance management to promote professional growth and team cohesion.
  • Recognize and reward exceptional performance to foster staff retention and a positive workplace culture.
  • Champion corporate governance practices, ensuring adherence to company policies, regulatory standards, and risk management frameworks.
  • Regularly assess the effectiveness of governance controls and implement improvements.
  • Engage proactively with local regulators and internal stakeholders to address compliance concerns.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven expertise in leadership and people management within sales environments.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office tools for reporting, communication, and analysis.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, direct, and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Demonstrated ability in managing team performance, fostering continuous improvement, and empowering individuals.
  • Exceptional communication skills to provide clear guidance, feedback, and motivation across all organizational levels.
  • A focus on continuous improvement, always seeking innovative ways to enhance sales processes and customer interactions.
  • Experience in managing customer-focused telesales operations.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and compliance.
