Nestlé is hiring a Team Leader to manage a designated team, plant, and materials within our Mossel Bay operations. In this role, you will be central to fostering a culture of performance monitoring and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for ensuring employee safety, maintaining product quality, and delivering the shift production plan on time.
What You'll Do
- Ensure timely deployment of People development plans and assure team competencies.
- Enforce strict compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) by all personnel.
- Coach employees to fulfil and exceed job requirements using the NCE approach.
- Ensure working areas are kept clean and maintained per Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Check and enforce personnel hygiene & safety, including protective clothing, shoe change, and hand wash.
- Ensure continuous line controls and take immediate corrective action to maintain prescribed quality and manufacturing instructions.
- Ensure ongoing smooth operations through effective employee and industrial relations management.
- Ensure adequate distribution of skills to achieve the production plan effectively.
- Ensure timely launch of new products as agreed with the business unit.
- Ensure adequate maintenance of installations in coordination with quality, engineering, and administration.
What We're Looking For
- Degree or Diploma in Food Sciences, Chemistry, or Chemical/Mechanical Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.
- Demonstrated leadership ability by leading a project within a factory environment.
- Leadership skills in positively confronting inappropriate behavior and using everyday coaching to ensure workforce involvement.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position located in Mossel Bay.
