HERO Software GmbH is hiring a Team Lead Product Design

HERO Software GmbH is looking for a Team Lead Product Design to lead and develop our Product Design team for our B2B SaaS product serving craft businesses. You will be instrumental in elevating UX/UI quality, driving strategic design operations, and ensuring the effective use of AI and automation, all while contributing hands-on to design and research work.

What You'll Do

• Lead and continuously develop a team of approximately 5 Product Designers and UX Researchers, enabling their professional and personal growth.
• Champion and drive Design and Product Excellence by establishing clear principles and quality standards.
• Strengthen Design Ops & Collaboration by scaling processes, tools, and rituals; further develop the Design System and AI/Automation workflows.
• Ensure Research is used strategically and systematically to strengthen Discovery and Product Strategy.
• Lead by example, stepping into hands-on design or research work when needed.

What We're Looking For

• Several years of experience as a Product Designer in digital products, ideally in B2B or SaaS, with a portfolio demonstrating craft quality.
• Experience simultaneously leading more than 3 designers and UX researchers.
• Experience with Design Ops, Design Systems, scalable processes, tools, and collaboration, as well as experience using AI and automation.
• Deep understanding of Product Discovery, working in a Product Trio, and collaborating with agile development teams.
• Fluent German and English language skills (C1 level) for working with users, team, and stakeholders.
• Clarity in presentation and argumentation, able to make decisions transparent and your team visible.

Team & Environment

You will lead an interdisciplinary team of approximately 5 people (Product Designers and UX Researchers) and report directly to the Head of Product Design.
