Responsibilities
- Own the results delivered by your team.
- Lead day-to-day development; assign tasks, track progress, ensure timely delivery and high quality.
- Mentor engineers, foster collaboration, and motivate the team to reach company and personal objectives.
- Set coding standards and best practices for maintainable solutions.
- Work with product teams to translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Implement and enforce testing practices to deliver reliable software.
- Encourage new ideas and own engineering processes to drive continuous improvement.
- Represent Guardsquare’s R&D values, its products and its culture.
Requirements
- Masters in computer science with 5+ years of experience, of which at least 3 as a Team Lead
- Proven track record of achieving results with teams
- Experience setting performance goals and performing appraisals
- Strong programming fundamentals
- A no-nonsense and pragmatic attitude, continuously raising the bar
- Excellent English communication
- Understanding the value of in-person leadership in a hybrid work environment
Nice to Have
- Previous experience with low level programming is an asset
- Deep knowledge of Java is also a nice plus
