What You'll Do
Lead daily operations for the HR Support Team, guiding workflow priorities and ensuring consistent service delivery across all touchpoints. Provide direct supervision to team members, fostering skill development and adherence to HR policies and procedures.
Act as a key point of escalation for complex employee inquiries, offering guidance in both English and French. Support the accuracy and timeliness of HR transactions in Workday, including data entry, employee records maintenance, and onboarding documentation.
Collaborate with HR leadership on process improvements, system integrations, and service enhancements. Monitor HR support inboxes to ensure inquiries are triaged and resolved efficiently, with proper escalation paths followed.
Oversee the quality and consistency of employment documentation, including offer letters, contracts, and amendments. Manage employee leave tracking and ensure compliance with recordkeeping standards and provincial employment regulations.
Lead onboarding coordination, ensuring new hires receive accurate information and documentation. Maintain shared resources, knowledge bases, and process documentation to support team efficiency and continuous learning.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field
- Fluency in both English and French (spoken and written) required
- Minimum of 5 years in HR operations, HR shared services, or as an HR Business Partner, with hands-on experience in HCM systems—Workday preferred
- At least 2 years in a leadership role with experience coaching and managing HR teams
- Strong understanding of end-to-end HR functions, including compensation, benefits, employee relations, and compliance
- Proficiency with ADP, advanced Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables), and MS Office suite
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, prioritize work, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to leaders in both official languages
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed
Preferred Qualifications
CPHR designation or equivalent is considered an asset.
