Apex Group was looking for a Tax & ESG Associate

The Tax & ESG Associate plays a key role in supporting tax and ESG compliance across fund structures and transactions within a Pan-European UCITS and AIFM environment. This position involves cross-department collaboration, regulatory monitoring, and active participation in fund launches and year-end reporting at FundRock Management Company S.A., part of the Apex Group.

What You'll Do

  • Be the main point of contact in regard to tax & ESG matters and escalation
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Review investment opportunities and related tax and ESG analysis received from investment advisors
  • Review offering documents and fund documentation and ensure tax and ESG compliance
  • Perform assessments under DAC 6, CSSF 20/744 and general tax framework
  • Engage in the onboarding of new investment funds as a subject matter expert in the field of tax and ESG
  • Engage in regular research and reading on tax technical topics and draft internal technical notes
  • Provide feedback to clients on the target ESG strategy during fund launches and yearly reporting
  • Actively monitor regulatory and tax changes affecting the business and clients and draft communication / give presentations where relevant

What We're Looking For

  • University degree in Business Administration, Economics, International Tax or relevant professional qualifications
  • A minimum of one year of working experience within the funds industry
  • Good knowledge of Luxembourg fund industry, International Tax and ESG regulation
  • Excellent intellect with the ability to understand complex issues quickly, grasp new concepts and ideas rapidly
  • Fluent in English

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of French or German will be considered an asset
  • Any other EU languages
