Emerson is seeking a Tax Analyst to join our Global Financial Services (GFS) team. In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation of key tax compliance deliverables, ensuring accuracy and adherence to policies.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of US Corporation Income Tax Returns to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely filing.
- Analyze and file Sales and Use tax due per State, reconciling balances from GL and SAP/Oracle reports.
- Reconcile consolidated Foreign Withholding Tax to tie out to HFM books and tag entries in SharePoint.
- Build reports using Excel, SmartView, VBA, and Power BI to analyze tax and financial data from Hyperion and OTP for decision-making.
- Apply appropriate internal controls in compliance with Corporate Policies and GAAP.
- Assist with special projects to reduce manual processes and increase automation of reports.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or other 4-year Finance courses; preferably a Certified Public Accountant.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, and US or local tax transactions.
- Advanced proficiency in Office365 applications, especially Microsoft Excel.
Nice to Have
- Working knowledge of Oracle FCC, OneSource, or other tax software.
- Knowledge of Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
