About the Role

Rockwell Automation is hiring a Systems Integrator/Systems Integration Engineer to join our team. You will design and implement fleets of OTTO autonomous mobile robots (AMR) and software at customer facilities worldwide. In this role, you’ll deliver training, evaluate use cases to establish best practices, and contribute directly to defining product requirements and influencing the product roadmap.

What You'll Do

  • Commission and integrate AMR systems at client facilities worldwide, including traveling for on-site deployment and integration with facility-side automation equipment.
  • Support detailed solutions design of AMR systems using OTTO products to meet customer requirements, including workflow, attachment, and map design.
  • Develop/modify middle layer software logic using Ignition OPC/UA, FT Optix and/or PLC logic.
  • Author and execute acceptance test plans for validation of system functionality and performance.
  • Optimize system performance through analysis, simulation, and experimentation.
  • Perform project planning for owned deliverables and work packages.
  • Communicate technical details and status to the customer and broader project team.
  • Consult with integration partners on all technical aspects.
  • Deliver training to integration partners and end-users.
  • Troubleshoot software & hardware technical issues using internal tools.
  • Author new product requirements based on lessons learned from design and commissioning activities.
  • Work with the systems engineering team to improve department tools, processes, and inter-departmental relationships.
  • Provide Tier-3 advanced technical support to customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Offer after-business-hours rotational on-call escalation support.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada (no visa sponsorship).
  • Ability to travel for business within North America, Europe, and Asia (~50-60% travel).
  • A valid full driver's licence.

Nice to Have

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience commissioning and integrating industrial automated equipment or interfacing software.
  • Experience with AMR/AGV systems integration and Linux.
  • Experience working directly with clients/end-users.
  • PLC design and integration experience.
  • Experience training users of automated equipment/software.
  • Experience authoring and modifying software code (python, C++, or other).
  • Experience with Inductive Automation Ignition OPC/UA software and/or FT Optix.
