Responsibilities
- Define and document system-level requirements for autonomous driving functions
- Develop system architectures that support scalability and safety
- Model and simulate vehicle behavior using engineering software tools
- Coordinate integration between hardware and software subsystems
- Lead verification and validation testing across development phases
- Analyze system performance under real-world operating conditions
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues across multiple domains
- Ensure compliance with functional safety standards
- Collaborate with software, mechanical, and electrical engineers
- Support the development of test plans and evaluation metrics
- Evaluate sensor fusion strategies for perception systems
- Monitor system-level risks and propose mitigation plans
- Participate in design reviews and technical decision-making
- Maintain traceability from requirements to implementation
- Optimize system designs for reliability and maintainability
- Support deployment of autonomous features in test fleets
- Contribute to failure mode and effects analysis
- Interface with external partners on technical specifications
- Track system performance through data-driven insights
- Ensure alignment with regulatory and industry guidelines
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in systems, mechanical, or electrical engineering
- Experience with autonomous vehicle prototypes
- Hands-on work with robotic systems or unmanned vehicles
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, or similar tools
- Knowledge of machine learning applications in perception
- Experience in safety certification processes
- Background in automotive functional safety analysis
- Familiarity with over-the-air update systems
- Project leadership experience in technical teams
- Understanding of urban mobility and transportation systems
