Conduct and oversee systematic literature reviews to support evidence-based decision-making in the life sciences sector. As a key contributor to the Real World Methods and Evidence Generation team, you will design and execute comprehensive search strategies across major databases including EMBASE, MEDLINE, Cochrane, and PubMed, using platforms such as OVID SP.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine literature search strategies, protocols, and PICOS frameworks to meet project objectives and HTA requirements
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of literature reviews, from protocol development to final reporting, under senior guidance
- Ensure adherence to methodological standards including PRISMA and Cochrane guidelines
- Perform quality assurance on search outputs, screening documentation, data extraction, and synthesis reports
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, providing expert insight on review methodologies and findings
- Support innovation in evidence synthesis by contributing to internal initiatives and business development efforts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate literature review outcomes into broader research deliverables
Qualifications and Skills
Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in a relevant field such as public health, epidemiology, health economics, biomedical science, or information science. A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in conducting systematic reviews or meta-analyses is required.
Essential competencies include strong critical appraisal skills, familiarity with risk-of-bias assessment tools, and a solid grasp of evidence-based healthcare principles. Fluency in English—both written and spoken—is mandatory. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is expected.
Experience with HTA submission requirements and commercial aspects of the pharmaceutical industry is beneficial. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-focused, and capable of managing timelines effectively while maintaining scientific rigor.
