Bon Secours Mercy Health is hiring a System Director of Behavioral Health to provide strategic leadership and operational direction for behavioral health services system-wide. You will serve as the primary subject matter expert, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care that aligns with our mission.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the system’s subject matter expert for all behavioral health services, policies, and initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to expand access to care, improve clinical outcomes, and enhance patient experience.
- Monitor emerging trends, regulatory changes, and innovations in behavioral health to inform system strategy.
- Provide clinical leadership to programs, ensuring alignment with best practice models and accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure coordination and integration of services throughout the continuum of care.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives focused on patient safety, outcomes, and experience.
- Ensure all programs comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Joint Commission standards.
- Partner with compliance and quality teams to develop supporting policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Promote effective partnerships with community mental health agencies and social service organizations.
- Support education, training, and professional development initiatives for staff across the health system.
- Promote a culture of compassion, inclusion, and stigma reduction within the organization.
What We're Looking For
- Current, active licensure as an LISW, LPCC, or RN in good standing in the state(s) of operation.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in behavioral health.
- 3–5 years in a behavioral health leadership role.
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
