General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is hiring a System & Desktop Engineer to join our Desktop Engineering Team supporting the Department of Education. In this role, you will provide Tier 2/3 desktop support for VIPs, ensuring the stability and functionality of government-furnished equipment and software.
What You'll Do
- Support Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE) including laptops, mobile devices, printers, webcams, speakers, and MiFi.
- Provide Tier 2/3 desktop support incidents and problem resolution for VIPs.
- Collaborate with other contractors, the GDIT team, and the OCIO on hardware and software operability.
- Drive end-point device stability by testing software and incorporating new versions into the system image.
- Utilize tools like MECM, PXE, and Microsoft Intune to manage and deploy images for 4,000 enterprise Windows 11 endpoints.
What We're Looking For
- US Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Discipline or a minimum of 4 years of related IT experience in lieu of a degree.
- 2+ years of related IT experience.
- Hands-on experience with desktop computers, laptops, operating systems, peripheral devices, and troubleshooting.
