Phasor Engineering LLC is hiring a Survey Instrument Person for long-term opportunities on large-scale construction projects across the United States. You will operate and maintain sophisticated field equipment, assist in executing precise surveys, and play a key role in ensuring project data accuracy and site safety.
What You'll Do
- Operate and maintain survey instruments including Robotic Total Stations, GPS/GNSS Receivers, Data Collectors, Levels, Prism Rods, and Magnetic Locators.
- Assist in setting up and executing various types of surveys such as boundary, topographic, and construction layout.
- Download and organize field data for processing.
- Maintain daily field notes and sketches.
- Ensure all equipment is calibrated and in working order.
- Assist with training junior crew members.
- Follow safety protocols and participate in job safety assessments (JSAs).
- Interpret design drawings, field data, field sketches, and base maps.
- Travel based on project location.
- Operate and maintain assigned survey equipment, including ATVs/UTVs/Argos, tools, and materials.
- Actively promote Phasor's Health, Safety, and Environmental Program.
What We're Looking For
- Previous survey experience in engineering, construction, or industrial surveys.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Familiarity with various types of construction plans.
- Ability to read and interpret survey drawings, maps, and construction drawings.
- Strong understanding of field survey methods and techniques.
- Physically fit and able to work in various outdoor conditions.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and maintain a clean driver’s record.

- Post-secondary coursework in geomatics.
