Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. (MRA) is hiring a Survey Crew Chief to lead field operations in Laurel, Maryland. In this role, you will execute boundary, topographic, and construction surveys, working as a one-person robotic crew while coordinating closely with project managers and field teams.
What You'll Do
- Perform boundary, topographic, and construction stakeout surveys.
- Utilize robotic total stations and GPS/GNSS equipment to collect accurate survey data.
- Work independently as a one-person robotic survey crew while coordinating with project managers and field teams.
- Interpret construction plans, cut sheets, and perform survey calculations.
- Conduct field data collection for topographic and boundary surveys.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a survey crew or party chief role.
- Ability to function effectively as a one-person crew utilizing robotic and GPS equipment.
- Working knowledge of construction layout, cut sheets, and survey calculations, as well as boundary and title surveys.
- Experience with topographic surveys and the collection of survey data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with AutoCAD.
