Allegheny Health Network is looking for a Surgical Technologist Extern to perform prescribed surgical technologist procedures under the supervision of a Surgical Technologist. You'll competently perform a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgement and initiative, up to the level of documented competency.
What You'll Do
- Demonstrate competency in clinical skills such as aseptic technique, sharps safety, instrument management, and specimen management.
- Communicate pertinent patient data accurately and utilize time management skills to organize and prioritize patient care activities.
- Assume responsibility for your own professional development.
What We're Looking For
- Must be enrolled in a Certified Surgical Technologist Program.
- Presently enrolled, and in good standing, in a CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technologist program.
