About the Role
This role ensures that supplier parts and processes adhere to quality specifications by conducting assessments, leading audits, and driving corrective actions to support reliable production and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate supplier manufacturing processes to verify compliance with quality standards
- Conduct on-site and remote audits of supplier facilities
- Analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve component quality issues
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
- Verify supplier adherence to production part approval processes
- Monitor key performance indicators related to supplier quality
- Lead supplier quality initiatives during new product launches
- Ensure non-conforming materials are properly identified and contained
- Work with suppliers to improve process capability and reduce defects
- Review and approve supplier corrective action plans
- Track resolution of quality issues using structured problem-solving methods
- Provide technical guidance to suppliers on quality system requirements
- Assist in supplier selection and qualification activities
- Maintain documentation for quality audits and assessments
- Support escalation processes when quality targets are not met
- Promote continuous improvement using data-driven methodologies
- Coordinate with engineering teams on design for manufacturability
- Verify implementation of lessons learned from past quality issues
- Ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards
- Facilitate communication between suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Use quality tools such as FMEA, control plans, and SPC
- Support supplier readiness for high-volume production
- Monitor supplier performance metrics and report findings
- Drive adherence to quality management system requirements
