ASR Group is looking for a Supervisor, Cane Farmer Production Development Services to serve as a strategic link between farmers and the company. Your core mission is to drive continuous improvement in sugar cane yields for farmers through targeted support and development programs.
What You'll Do
- Lead and oversee farmer support programs in AgGrowPro aimed at increasing sugarcane productivity, improving farm management practices, and enhancing sustainable cane production.
- Coordinate the recruitment and implementation of quality farm services between teams of field officers, agronomists, and farm credit.
- Manage farm development initiatives (e.g., replanting, ratoon management, fertilization programs) and ensure alignment with factory production targets.
- Recruit, design, and implement cane productivity improvement programs.
- Work closely with the Cane Farmer Relations team, Agronomists, and Cane Farmer Credit to identify and implement yield improvement farm services for independent cane farmers.
- Supervise and coordinate field technicians to recruit cane farms for the yield improvement program.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Sustainable Business Agriculture, Crop Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in sugar cane production or agricultural research extension.
- Strong knowledge of sugarcane agronomy and farm management systems.
- Valid driver’s license.
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree would be an asset.
- Supervisory or management experience is an asset.
Technical Stack
- Proficiency in agriculture software, GIS, drone technology, and data management tools.
Team & Environment
Coordinates teams of field officers, agronomists and farm credit. Works closely with Cane Farmer Relations team, Agronomists and Cane Farmer Credit. Reports to the Manager.
