Corewell Health is looking for a Supervisor, Environmental Services to ensure the effective and efficient provision of environmental services across our facilities. You will be accountable for shift operations, managing resources, and serving as a key resource for the healthcare team and patients.

What You'll Do

Assume shift accountability for utilizing environmental services to maintain facilities consistent with current policies, procedures, protocols, and standards.
Manage overtime costs, length-of-shift (LOS), and monitor daily consumption of FTEs and supplies.
Provide input into staff schedule development and make alterations to meet changing needs, filling vacancies on a shift-by-shift basis.
Maintain payroll information of employee hours and communicate schedule changes.
Participate in interviewing candidates and make hiring recommendations.
Prepare ongoing performance evaluations, set goals with employees, and initiate performance improvement processes.
Act as a mentor, coach, role model, and resource to employees.
Act as a customer advocate by providing ongoing communication regarding environmental services issues.
Inspect and evaluate physical condition of hospital and recommend painting, repairs, furnishing, and equipment relocation.

What We're Looking For

High School Diploma or equivalent
2 years of relevant experience in related area
2 years of recent, relevant management and/or leadership experience
1 year of customer service experience

Nice to Have

Associate's Degree in related area
