Vaughan Regional Medical Center, part of ScionHealth, is hiring a Supervisor of Environmental Services. In this role, you'll oversee the daily operations of our EVS team, ensuring the facility meets the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and infection control. Your work directly shapes the health of our Columbus, GA community by maintaining an environment of excellence.
What You'll Do
- Direct daily operations and assign housekeeping staff according to priorities and schedules.
- Monitor EVS performance, inspect work quality, and provide feedback or reassignments as necessary.
- Ensure safety, cleanliness, and infection control standards are met throughout the facility.
- Provide training and orientation to new staff on departmental procedures and proper cleaning techniques.
- Ensure compliance with isolation and terminal cleaning protocols in patient care areas.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; ensure staff adhere to equipment use policies.
- Assist in staff evaluations and disciplinary actions in coordination with the department manager.
- Respond to and resolve customer service concerns regarding cleanliness or support services.
- Lead department huddles and communicate key updates and expectations to team members.
- Serve as a departmental representative during hospital-wide emergency codes and response drills.
- Maintain all logs and records related to cleaning, inspections, and quality checks.
- Act as a role model for professionalism, customer service, and infection control practices.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of internal training and competency programs (required upon hire).
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a healthcare or commercial cleaning environment.
Nice to Have
- CHEST, CSCT, or industry-recognized certification (preferred or obtained within defined timeframe).
- Previous supervisory or lead role in Environmental Services.
- Proficiency in basic recordkeeping and familiarity with digital work order systems.
Team & Environment
You will function as the department lead in the absence of the EVS Manager, coordinating staff and maintaining operational continuity.

This is an onsite position located in Columbus, GA.
