Highmark Inc. is hiring a Supervisor Behavioral Health Consultants to provide and oversee integrated behavioral health care in ambulatory settings. This remote role combines direct patient care with supervisory duties, allocating 60% of time to clinical work and 40% to supporting practice integration and team operations.
What You'll Do
- Perform direct patient care duties as a Behavioral Health Consultant for a portion of your role.
- Manage staff, including involvement in hiring, coaching, development, performance management, and productivity.
- Supervise daily BHC operations, assist with discipline-specific issues, and adjust staffing patterns as needed.
- Provide technical and educational training on the BHC role and the collaborative care model to practice staff and across the network.
- Orient and train new Behavioral Health Consultants.
- Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and performance improvement principles, overseeing billing practices and documentation standards.
- Participate in staff selection and development, supervise and evaluate staff performance, and recommend corrective actions.
What We're Looking For
- Master's degree in Counseling or Social Work.
- 3 years of experience with evidence-based counseling techniques, screening, diagnosis, and treatment of common mental health and substance abuse disorders.
- 3 years of experience in integrated care and/or behavioral health.
- Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
- Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
Team & Environment
This role supervises BHC and BHC Lead direct reports and supports the Behavioral Health Manager.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation range: $36.41 - $57.36 per hour.
