Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of High Voltage Substations (up to 500kV) for a diverse stage of project.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Civil, Structural engineers, designers, and project management ensuring project success.
- Perform modeling/CAD activities in Autocad, Revit and Microstation based on rules provided by a senior engineer.
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports in accordance with project requirements and industry standards (IEC/IEEE/ANSI/AS).
- Good knowledge of MV and HV systems: Substation Equipment, Fittings and Assemblies for HV conductors (Compression join bolted assemblies & bolted Tee Clamps / Dropper supports / Conductor Spacers & Earth Stirrups / Adaptor Plates / Earthing Termination / Fittings for Tubular busbars).
- Producing drawings for each stage of the project: Single Line Diagrams, HV and MV Substations Equipment Layout & Sections, Cable sizing, Cable Routing and Sections, Earthing and Lightning Layouts
- Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations to ensure compliance and incorporate best practices into designs.
- Support senior engineers in project development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Power Engineering
- Minimum 2 years professional experience in T&D Substation design
- Strong knowledge of Autocad 2D and 3D software
- Good knowledge of Revit, BIM360
- Advanced English language skills
Nice to Have
- Good knowledge of Bentley Microstation software
- Advanced level in Revit
- Knowledge of ETAP and 3D software is an advantage
- Practical working experience with different international clients, involvement in international projects dedicated to substations in Romania and abroad at different voltage levels (from 22kV up to 500kV)
- Good people and communication skills and ability to interact with project team members
