About the Role

Follett Higher Education is looking for a Student Marketing Director to spearhead local marketing tactics on campus. You will lead in-store and social media efforts to drive traffic, awareness, and sales for campus stores, acting as a key connection point between the store and the campus community.

What You'll Do

  • Adapt and execute social media strategies to enhance brand awareness and drive traffic.
  • Create regular, original content for social media, including copy, video, live streams, and photography.
  • Grow social media audiences using promotions, contests, and partnerships.
  • Analyze performance metrics weekly to refine content for optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other Student Marketing Directors, influencers, and administrators to establish connections and drive store traffic.
  • Respond to customer service inquiries on social media and the website.
  • Develop and execute a local marketing calendar that includes key campus events and non-event initiatives.
  • Track marketing tactics and execution for campaigns, store events, and local initiatives.
  • Act as the liaison between the store and the in-house creative team for marketing collateral.
  • Build relationships with school contacts in marketing, admissions, alumni, and athletics to drive commissionable sales.
  • Generate and activate in-store events like NIL opportunities and scavenger hunts to increase foot traffic.
  • Support national marketing initiatives at the store level.
  • Maintain in-store signage, online images, and ensure EDU compliance.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience creating and managing social media content and campaigns.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage a content calendar and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical skills to assess performance metrics and adapt strategies.
  • Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills with diverse campus groups.
  • Ability to develop and execute a comprehensive local marketing plan.
  • Experience with event planning and execution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Team & Environment

You will report to the Senior Social Media Manager and the Campus Store Director/Manager. You'll be part of an organization that values and respects its employees, offering clear career paths across many campus locations.

Work Mode

This is an onsite position based at the campus store.
