NKT | Cable Solutions is looking for a Student Assistant to gain practical experience with advanced energy solutions in an international environment. You will contribute to the EUDP-funded CoSCaRES project, advancing high-temperature superconducting cable and cooling technology for future high-voltage applications. You'll work closely with specialists in superconductivity and cryogenics, expanding your technical skills through real-world laboratory work.
What You'll Do
- Measure and qualify HTS wires from various suppliers.
- Improve testing and measurement systems for HTS wires.
- Contribute to thermal insulation (“cryostat”) efficiency development.
- Test and qualify vacuum maintenance materials.
- Interpret and present laboratory and test data.
- Support the preparation of components for high-voltage testing and help progress the project’s technical milestones.
What We're Looking For
- Enrolment in or completion of courses in a Master’s program within Electrical Engineering, Physics, Environmental Sciences/Engineering, Chemical Engineering or similar.
- Basic understanding of cryogenics and superconducting technology.
- Interest in laboratory work with cryogenic and vacuum systems.
- Proficiency in English.
