Purdue University’s Office of Summer and Winter Sessions is seeking an undergraduate Student Assistant to support summer programming for high school and early start students. This role provides direct operational and administrative support for the summer sessions.
What You'll Do
- Attend and assist with scheduled summer program activities, including check-in/out dates, moving weekends, running program supplies, and transporting students via golf cart.
- Serve as an information resource, communicating professionally with families, students, guests, and departments.
- Create social media and video content to promote office programs and services.
- Perform administrative tasks such as answering phone calls and email messages.
- Support professional staff in planning, developing, and hosting program events.
What We're Looking For
- Must be actively enrolled at Purdue University and pursuing a bachelor's degree.
- Maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA and good academic and student conduct standing.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
- Customer service oriented.
- Complete all required Purdue University web certifications and Youth Protection trainings.
- Current Driver's license required.
Nice to Have
- Previous work experience with programs, projects, social media, or promotion.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation starts at $11.00/hour.
- Eligible students may apply for a summer tuition scholarship of up to $2,100.
