Responsibilities
- Coordinate structural engineering components across disciplines to support project and design management activities.
- Ensure structural designs adhere to contractual requirements and approved design documentation.
- Define structural scope, planning approach, and timelines in alignment with project management objectives.
- Lead conceptual, preliminary, and final design phases for new bridge construction and the rehabilitation or reconstruction of existing structures.
- Provide expert technical oversight and conduct quality reviews of calculations, drawings, and contract-related documents.
- Develop or oversee the creation of technical specifications and construction cost estimates.
- Lead teams of engineers, designers, and specialists in producing structural design deliverables with minimal supervision.
- Verify that design outputs meet contractual standards by ensuring proper review and approval prior to client submission.
- Mentor and train team members to support professional development and career progression.
- Assist in marketing initiatives and contribute to the preparation of project proposals.
- Participate in client-facing proposal presentations and interviews.
- Enforce quality assurance and quality control processes to maintain technical excellence in all deliverables.
- Lead resolution of client feedback related to structural design components of project submissions.
- Identify potential risks to budget and schedule and develop contingency strategies.
- Integrate innovative solutions into structural design and project execution methods.
