Die Autobahn GmbH des Bundes is looking for a Structural Engineer to take technical responsibility for the planning, construction, and operation of engineering structures. You will serve as the primary technical contact throughout the approval and construction execution phases.
What You'll Do
- Bear responsibility for the planning, construction, and operation of engineering structures as the technical contact for approval and construction execution.
- Independently develop preliminary designs, execution plans, and structural rehabilitation concepts.
- Perform static and building physics calculations.
- Manage the construction program, assess structural conditions, and set priorities.
- Coordinate overall interdisciplinary project planning.
- Make decisions on construction methods and technologies.
- Lead negotiations as part of planning approval processes.
- Prepare tender and award documents.
- Review execution documents and manage external planning assignments from award to settlement.
- Prepare statements on road administration matters and third-party planning.
What We're Looking For
- A completed scientific university (Fach-)Hochschule degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural engineering, or equivalent specialist knowledge, qualifications, and experience.
Nice to Have
- Long-term professional experience and comprehensive specialist and legal knowledge in structural engineering (including ZTV-ING, FStrG, and procurement law).
- Comprehensive knowledge in construction project management and construction program control with a focus on engineering structures.
- Confident handling of MS Office and willingness to learn specialized software such as iTWO, Arriba, and SIB-Bauwerke.
- Familiarity with the structure and specific processes of a road construction administration.
