AECOM is hiring a Structural Dam Safety Engineering Project Manager/Technical Lead

About the Role

This position combines project management and technical leadership for dam safety engineering initiatives, ensuring successful project outcomes through client engagement, multidisciplinary team oversight, and high-quality engineering deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of project management, including client relations, contracts, scheduling, budgeting, technical oversight, change control, and coordination of project teams and subcontractors.
  • Serve as primary client contact, accountable for on-time, on-budget delivery of dam engineering projects and programs, including leading business development and proposal efforts for both new and existing clients.
  • Lead technical components of dam safety projects, including structural analysis, design, failure mode evaluation, risk assessment, field inspections, construction monitoring, and compliance for hydraulic structures like spillways and outlet works.
  • Organize, plan, and supervise field investigations for diverse hydraulic infrastructure.
  • Review and perform quality assurance on engineering outputs such as calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications produced by other engineers.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring effective management of time, resources, budgets, and risks to achieve project objectives.
  • Lead, coordinate, and direct multidisciplinary engineering teams across various dam safety initiatives.
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and professional development support to junior engineers.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to travel part-time for project assignments and business development activities as required.
