Schaeffler seeks a Strategy & Business Development Professor to play a pivotal role in shaping strategic direction and identifying growth opportunities. You will be responsible for generating management reports, representing sales at business reviews, and providing critical presentations to business units and leadership.
What You'll Do
- Analyze and drive the budget and strategy dialogue process.
- Analyze sales and margin deviations and drive activities for improvements.
- Prepare and attend audits and ensure critical KPI's are achieved.
- Support strategy and business development objectives, working on strategies and respective initiatives/projects.
- Support the development and execution of business strategies and initiatives to achieve strategic objectives.
- Research and analyze market information to identify business development opportunities, trends and address potential cases.
- Create future market scenarios and propose strategic responses to ensure long-term profitability and market positioning.
- Present findings to key stakeholders and collaborate to initiate business development activities.
- Manage and coordinate the implementation of agreed action plans to ensure the success of business development projects.
- Build and maintain networks with market partners and stakeholders to support business growth according to set milestones.
- Contribute to the definition of strategic objectives, planning guidelines, and organizational development plans to align with corporate or business division goals.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a similar field.
- 1 to 3 years of automotive experience in OEM or Tier 1 Sales support.
- Strong business and communication skills with an understanding of financial drivers/shareholder value.
- Knowledge of industry standard business language, including familiarity with contracts, payment terms, proposals, pricing, and margins.
- Sound strategic thinker that possesses vision and the ability to identify opportunities.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills that enable the ability to condense complex issues into concise messages.
- Strong problem solving, analytical and listening skills.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic and matrixed local and global organization.
- Proficient knowledge in MS Office Suite with emphasis in Excel functions including pivot tables, Vlookup, etc.
- Strong ability to quickly interpret and analyze data and come up with observations, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Fluent in English.
- Willingness to travel 10%.
