Role Overview
As the Strategy and Operations Manager for Categories and Expansion, you'll play a central role in shaping and scaling the future of our platform’s category offerings. You’ll partner with data, operations, and go-to-market teams to identify growth opportunities, refine strategies, and execute high-impact initiatives that expand our footprint in live commerce.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with data teams to assess performance metrics, generate insights, and guide strategic adjustments
- Lead special projects focused on scaling operations and advancing business objectives
- Develop playbooks and documentation in partnership with post-sales GTM teams
- Support category leaders with performance analysis and measurement of key initiatives
- Ensure alignment across GTM, operations, and product functions for seamless execution
- Monitor market and competitive trends to inform go-to-market strategy and positioning
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for leadership and cross-functional partners
- Work closely with product and ops teams to align on priorities and drive coordinated outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Background in strategy, business operations, analytics, or consulting within a fast-paced startup or high-growth environment
- Proven ability to combine data analysis with strategic thinking to guide business decisions
- Strong analytical foundation with hands-on experience in SQL and Excel
- Experience supporting post-sales GTM functions and driving operational efficiency
- Skilled at communicating complex insights clearly to diverse audiences
- History of high performance in ambiguous, rapidly evolving environments
- Self-directed with the ability to lead deep-dive projects while building strong cross-company relationships
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with marketplaces or two-sided platforms
- Passion for creator-driven communities and live commerce trends
- Familiarity with buying or selling in online marketplace ecosystems
Technical Environment
Primary tools include SQL and Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role based in one of our major hubs—Los Angeles, San Francisco, or New York City. Team members are expected to live within commuting distance of one of these locations, with flexibility to work remotely or from an office. We value in-person collaboration for planning, problem-solving, and team connection, balanced with the agility of remote work.
