Hamleys Western Store is hiring a Store Sales – Social Media professional to enhance our brand presence and customer experience. This role merges in-store customer service with digital marketing, requiring you to develop social media strategies, create compelling content, and provide knowledgeable sales support in our retail environment.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement social media strategies to support online presence, increase engagement, and drive traffic.
- Develop strategic social ad campaigns and execute them on appropriate channels.
- Grow and expand the company's social media presence on existing and new platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to plan social campaigns and ensure consistent brand identity.
- Stay up to date with current technologies and best practices in digital marketing and social media.
- Help plan content strategy and create a publishing schedule.
- Develop relevant and engaging written, photographic, and video content for social platforms.
- Monitor and respond to guest reviews, comments, and questions promptly.
- Communicate trends and customer feedback to appropriate internal teams.
- Provide high-level customer service using guest service standards.
- Stay informed regarding all existing and new stock items to better promote sales.
- Provide product knowledge on all merchandise in person and via social media/e-commerce.
- Maintain store tidiness and organization through cleaning tasks.
- Assist with Visual Merchandising efforts to increase brand continuity online and in-store.
- Lift and maneuver heavy, bulky items onto shelving for displays or product replenishment.
- Promote a clean, safe, healthy work environment by using equipment safely.
- Promote internal guest service standards through courteous behavior.
- Comply with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policies, and safety codes.
- Promote teamwork through punctual, responsible attendance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Six (6) months of work experience promoting and developing a brand or business via social media.
- Six (6) months of sales experience.
- Understanding of strategic mobile marketing with SMS/MMS and App campaign strategies.
- Excellent copywriting skills.
- Ability to deliver creative content (text, image, and video).
- Knowledge of social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, Google, YouTube.
- Thorough knowledge of: Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Ad Manager, Meta for Business.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and multi-tasking skills.
- Requires a criminal history background check.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Nice to Have
- Retail and cash handling experience.
- Knowledge and experience in the Western fashion world; western, farm, and ranch way of life; rodeo and equestrian fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.

Works with the Advertising Manager and WRC advertising and marketing departments, reporting directly to the Advertising Manager.

- Compensation: $15.00-$20.00 per hour.
