Mass General Brigham is hiring a Sterile Processing Tech II to perform advanced tasks in the sterile processing department of our Waltham, MA facility. You will be responsible for receiving, cleaning, sterilizing, and managing medical instruments and equipment, playing a critical role in supporting exceptional care and medical discovery.
What You'll Do
- Receive used medical instruments and equipment from the operating rooms and other departments.
- Load prepared instruments and equipment into sterilizers, following prescribed loading patterns and protocols.
- Conduct regular quality checks of instruments, equipment, and packaging materials to ensure compliance with sterilization standards.
- Assist with managing inventory levels, including receiving, inspecting, and restocking sterile supplies.
- Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot sterilization equipment and instrumentation.
- Provide guidance and training to less experienced sterile processing technicians.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician [CRCST] - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)
Nice to Have
- Experience as a Central Sterile Technician or similar role in a healthcare setting. 1-2 years preferred.
