The Indiana Department of Correction / Madison State Hospital is hiring a State Eligibility Consultant to play a vital role in administering critical public assistance programs. You will meet directly with clients to explain benefits, conduct in-depth eligibility interviews, and review applications for programs like SNAP, TANF, and Medicaid. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to ensuring compliance with state and federal rules.
What You'll Do
- Review all eligibility recommendations and information provided by contract staff.
- Make eligibility determinations for appropriate benefits and waiver programs in full compliance with state and federal rules, regulations, and guidelines.
- Examine data matches to identify inconsistent and unreported information.
- Approve claims referred and calculated by the Contractor.
- Conduct full eligibility interviews for SNAP, TANF, and Medicaid applicants.
- Maintain current knowledge of all changes in rules, regulations, and guidelines for all relevant benefit programs.
