Ball State University is hiring a StarRez System Manager to oversee the configuration, testing, and development of the StarRez Housing Management system for the Housing and Residence Life office. This role manages critical housing processes and ensures seamless system integrations. This position can be fully remote from anywhere in the United States.
What You'll Do
- Manage IT development for web-based processes including housing applications, contracting, leasing, conference workflows, interim housing, orientation housing, summer housing, and student billing.
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot web-based processes in the student-facing housing portal.
- Collaborate on StarRez work order integration with TMA including testing, updating, and troubleshooting.
- Support University Apartment staff with back-end processes, reporting, and troubleshooting of client set-up and bookings.
- Develop documentation for web-based processes in Housing and Residence Life.
- Develop training materials for web-based processes for multiple levels of staff including student, administrative, professional, and service staff.
- Collaborate with campus partners and/or vendor to maintain and troubleshoot system integrations for building access, meal plan loads, and demographic loads.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent.
- One year of system configuration experience with the StarRez Housing Management system.
- Experience with SQL or StarQL is required.
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting computer systems including system integrations.
Nice to Have
- Master's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent.
- Experience working with SIS products such as Banner.
- Experience working with the StarRez Housing Management system.
- StarRez Academy Certification.

- Compensation: $50,000-$64,000
