The University of British Columbia (UBC) is hiring an AR Analyst with Italian to join its finance operations. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining precise accounts receivable reporting, ensuring compliance with European standards, managing the AR books, and acting as a key liaison between internal teams to uphold financial integrity and deadlines.
What You'll Do
- Maintain precise AR reporting and ensure lead times are met for customer and internal inquiries.
- Update procedures and calendars to meet European standards and legal requirements, aligning with other affected teams.
- Ensure accuracy when preparing the AR monthly closure files for validation, adhering to timelines and Month Closing KPIs.
- Liaise with the BO Conduent / AR & Credit Team and upstream/downstream departments to ensure information is updated within deadlines.
- Manage and control the Accounts Receivables books with focus on Overdue Management, Cash Allocation, Direct Debit, and Refund accuracy.
- Update standard work instructions for the covered area, maintaining back-up procedures and detailed process steps.
- Maintain customer file references in the accounting system and ensure compliance with quality and internal control procedures.
- Establish a backup for all activities within scope and ensure the backup individual is adequately trained.
What We're Looking For
- Advanced English and Italian language skills (at least B2 level).
- Minimum 1 year of proven experience in a similar AR or finance role.
- Experience within an SSC/BPO environment.
- Experience with FOP (Finance, Order to Cash, and Purchasing Operations processes).
- Strong MS Office (Excel) skills and ERP literacy.
Technical Stack
- MS Office Suite, with advanced proficiency in Excel.
- ERP systems.
Team & Environment
You will work closely with the BO Conduent / AR & Credit Team and collaborate with various upstream and downstream connected departments including Treasury, OE, ADV, and R2R.
