The State of Vermont is hiring a Staffing & Administrative Coordinator to provide essential coverage in the Staffing Office at the Vermont Psychiatric Care Hospital. You will ensure adequate nursing staff coverage for inpatient psychiatric units and a satellite secure residential facility. This is a temporary position that requires your presence to cover all shifts.
What You'll Do
- Provide coverage in the Staffing Office to ensure adequate staffing of Nursing Staff on inpatient psychiatric units and a satellite secure residential facility.
- Work varying shifts as required to provide 24-hour coverage, including Night Shift (6:30pm-7:00am) and Day Shift (6:30am-7:00pm).
- Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, employees, and contractors, which may include interacting with upset, confrontational, or in-crisis individuals.
- May have brief communication or contact with hospitalized individuals when in dedicated care areas of the facility.
What We're Looking For
- Two (2) years or more performing administrative duties in a health care, human services, or government setting.
- Must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position, including Vermont and/or national criminal record checks, DMV checks, and adult and child abuse registry checks.
Nice to Have
- Experience with work schedule coordination or coordination of staffing in large scale operations.
- Reception or customer service experience.
