About the Role

The State of Vermont is hiring a Staffing & Administrative Coordinator to provide essential coverage in the Staffing Office at the Vermont Psychiatric Care Hospital. You will ensure adequate nursing staff coverage for inpatient psychiatric units and a satellite secure residential facility. This is a temporary position that requires your presence to cover all shifts.

What You'll Do

  • Provide coverage in the Staffing Office to ensure adequate staffing of Nursing Staff on inpatient psychiatric units and a satellite secure residential facility.
  • Work varying shifts as required to provide 24-hour coverage, including Night Shift (6:30pm-7:00am) and Day Shift (6:30am-7:00pm).
  • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, employees, and contractors, which may include interacting with upset, confrontational, or in-crisis individuals.
  • May have brief communication or contact with hospitalized individuals when in dedicated care areas of the facility.

What We're Looking For

  • Two (2) years or more performing administrative duties in a health care, human services, or government setting.
  • Must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position, including Vermont and/or national criminal record checks, DMV checks, and adult and child abuse registry checks.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with work schedule coordination or coordination of staffing in large scale operations.
  • Reception or customer service experience.

You will be part of the Staffing Office at the Vermont Psychiatric Care Hospital.

This is an onsite position located at the Vermont Psychiatric Care Hospital.
