What You’ll Do
- Research and write news articles, roundups, and multimedia stories that attract and educate a technical audience
- Use SEO tools and keyword analysis to develop content that improves visibility and reader engagement
- Monitor press releases, regulatory updates, and competitor activity to identify timely topics
- Collaborate with editorial teams to pitch ideas, plan coverage, and support audience growth initiatives
- Develop relationships with engineers, researchers, and industry experts to source insights and quotes
- Edit and publish content using AI-assisted platforms, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and brand consistency
- Create and optimize headlines, meta descriptions, and internal links to boost search performance
- Support audio and video content by drafting scripts, editing podcasts, and coordinating social promotion
- Manage multimedia assets including images, charts, and graphics to enhance storytelling
- Follow editorial standards for attribution, copyright, and compliance in all published work
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a technical field such as engineering or physics
- 1–3 years of experience writing or editing for a specialized audience
- Familiarity with AP Style, SEO principles, and digital analytics
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, InCopy, Acrobat)
- Understanding of AI-enabled writing tools and content optimization techniques
- Knowledge of military aviation systems, DoD procurement, or electronics engineering is a plus
- Experience in B2B publishing or technical journalism is highly valued
