Rula is seeking a Staff User Researcher - AI to lead mixed-methods research on how patients and providers interact with mental healthcare. You'll blend qualitative and quantitative methods to deliver actionable insights that guide product, design, engineering, and data science teams.
What You'll Do
- Explore how AI can meaningfully enhance access, engagement, and outcomes across the patient journey.
- Design and execute end-to-end generative and evaluative research that informs roadmap and design decisions.
- Drive cross-functional research programs tied to Rula’s company-level AI experience strategy.
- Become a trusted advisor to leadership and product teams on the most complex patient experience questions.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of UX research experience in product organizations.
- Expertise in generative and evaluative methods, across both qualitative and quantitative research.
- Experience researching AI/ML-powered experiences (e.g., trust, explainability, human-AI collaboration).
- Strong communicator who can synthesize insights into clear, strategic recommendations.
- Proven ability to influence executives and cross-functional partners.
Nice to Have
- Experience in high-growth consumer tech or healthcare/wellness.
- Familiarity with large-scale experimentation and lean innovation teams.
- Thought leadership in AI/UX research (e.g., talks, publications).
- Hands-on experience with speech, multimodal, or conversational interfaces.
