What You'll Do
Conduct in-person interviews and observational research to understand user behaviors, motivations, and challenges within evolving digital ecosystems. Map current user journeys to surface pain points, emotional touchpoints, and interaction patterns across services.
Develop data-driven personas and empathy maps that reflect real user needs, supporting design teams in building meaningful solutions. Translate field insights into clear problem statements and help reframe challenges through collaborative opportunity-finding sessions.
Validate early-stage designs through usability testing and contribute to the creation of future-state journey models and user story maps. Synthesize findings from both qualitative and quantitative sources to identify high-friction areas and guide product prioritization.
Work closely with stakeholders to ensure research directly informs decision-making, delivering actionable recommendations and clear visualizations that shape platform strategy.
Requirements
- Native or professional-level fluency in Spanish, with demonstrated ability to conduct research in the language
- Proven track record leading end-to-end user research that influenced digital product development
- Experience designing and executing contextual inquiry and in-depth interviews
- Strong skills in journey mapping, persona development, and empathy modeling
- Proficiency in problem framing techniques, including problem statements and opportunity prompts
- Experience synthesizing complex data into clear themes and strategic insights
- Ability to analyze unmoderated usability studies and interpret quantitative usage metrics
- Skilled in using Miro or Mural for collaborative research and visualization
- Comfortable communicating findings to cross-functional teams, including design and engineering
- Adaptable to fast-moving environments with shifting priorities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience conducting field research in Latin American countries, particularly in Central America, is highly valued.
