The Documentation team, integrated within the Product team, aims to elevate awareness of Chainguard and software supply chain security by creating accessible, educational, high-quality resources. We develop documentation, tutorials, and video content explaining our products and supporting broader understanding of software supply chain security, cybersecurity compliance, and related regulations. Chainguard Academy serves as the central hub for all this content. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, highly autonomous, and passionate about creating documentation and technical tutorials that resonate with developers and security professionals. What you'll do: - Collaborate across Chainguard Product and Engineering teams to produce product documentation supporting developers and security professionals utilizing our software security products - Develop and strategize documentation approaches to facilitate seamless product adoption and retention - Maintain existing documentation through updates reflecting software changes - Coordinate with team members to ensure comprehensive topic coverage and minimize redundancy - Participate in Product initiatives including feature launch preparations and strategic tasks - Function as "customer zero" by early testing of Chainguard products, experimenting with beta features, and providing actionable usability and clarity feedback - Support other teams with documentation and technical writing tasks as prioritized What we're looking for: Core requirements: - Profound understanding of cloud-native and/or open-source ecosystems, with specialized focus on: - DevOps - Software Supply Chain security expertise, including deep context on container images, software packages, and/or virtual machines - Cybersecurity compliance and regulations - Experience communicating technical topics to technical audiences - Strong research capabilities and rapid technical concept comprehension - Experience collaborating with Product, Engineering, and other departmental teams is advantageous Nice to have: - Familiarity with GitHub-based docs-as-code workflow - Proactive utilization of AI, ML, or automation tools to enhance workflow - Experience leveraging usage data for product decision-making About Us: Chainguard represents a secure foundation for software development and deployment.
