Responsibilities
- Shape and lead the long-term technical direction of the machine learning data services platform to support growing demands across the organization.
- Act as the principal technical authority, designing resilient, high-performance systems for data processing, transformation, and delivery.
- Lead the architectural strategy for integrating varied training data, including real-world driving logs, simulation results, automated labeling, and manual annotation.
- Implement comprehensive systems to monitor data integrity, trace data origins, and uphold governance and regulatory standards.
- Deliver direct technical mentorship, conduct design reviews, and promote coding excellence and operational discipline across the engineering team.
- Oversee team management duties, including performance evaluations, career growth planning, and individual coaching.
- Function as a dual-role leader, splitting time evenly between people management and hands-on technical work, including system design and coding.
- Lead talent acquisition initiatives to hire, integrate, and retain skilled engineers while cultivating an inclusive team environment.
- Promote a culture of engineering precision, accountability, and high operational standards.
- Partner with machine learning and infrastructure teams to align data solutions with model development timelines and requirements.
- Oversee critical project execution, ensuring timely delivery and strategic alignment with business goals.
- Translate complex technical strategies into clear insights for both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
