Aurora Solar is hiring a Staff Product Designer to lead the design of our most critical revenue-driving experiences. You will own the end-to-end sales journeys from project creation through financing, proposal presentation, and contract signing, operating as a strategic design leader for Sales Mode.
What You'll Do
- Own end-to-end design leadership for Sales Mode experiences, spanning project creation, financing options, proposal personalization, and contract signing.
- Set a multi-quarter experience vision and strategy for Sales Mode, translating business goals and customer needs into clear design direction and roadmaps.
- Lead discovery to identify the highest-leverage problems using customer interviews, workflow analysis, and data to prioritize.
- Design and iterate on flows that balance the needs of installers, financiers, and homeowners, including complex edge cases, compliance constraints, and approval flows.
- Partner deeply with Product and Engineering to scope work into milestones, align tradeoffs, and ensure high-quality implementation.
- Raise the bar on craft and consistency by contributing patterns to the design system and improving shared interaction models across Aurora.
- Influence cross-team alignment by facilitating reviews, articulating rationale, and mentoring other designers through critique and collaboration.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of product design experience, with demonstrated leadership on complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to simplify multi-step workflows and build intuitive experiences that serve multiple personas.
- Deep customer empathy, with experience designing for real-world B2B constraints while maintaining a strong end-user experience.
- Data fluency, with the ability to pair quantitative signals with qualitative insight to guide decisions and measure impact.
- Excellent product thinking and judgment with the ability to make smart tradeoffs, align teams through ambiguity, and maintain velocity without sacrificing quality.
- A high bar for craft across interaction design, information architecture, and visual design, paired with clear storytelling and communication in a remote environment.
- Collaborative leadership skills, with the ability to influence across Product, Engineering, and Sales.
Nice to Have
- Experience with financing, payments, workflows, or contract/e-sign workflows (or similar experiences).
- Experience designing B2B SaaS products across multiple personas, roles/permissions, and admin configuration.
- Strong prototyping skills to align stakeholders, test ideas quickly, and de-risk complex workflows.
