About the Role
Lead the design and implementation of high-performance Node.js services, mentor engineers, and contribute to architectural decisions in a remote-first environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy scalable backend services using Node.js
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements
- Optimize applications for performance, reliability, and security
- Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in real time
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on technical topics
- Contribute to technical planning and roadmap discussions
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies into existing systems
- Ensure adherence to software development lifecycle standards
- Participate in architectural design and system scalability planning
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for systems and processes
- Support deployment pipelines and continuous integration workflows
- Monitor system health and implement proactive improvements
- Work closely with product teams to align technical delivery with business goals
- Implement robust testing strategies across development stages
- Lead incident response and post-mortem analysis
- Drive improvements in system observability and monitoring
- Enforce security best practices across services
- Promote reusability and modular design in codebase
- Ensure compliance with operational and regulatory standards
