A talent acquisition partner is currently seeking a Staff Infrastructure Engineer in the United States. We are recruiting an accomplished Staff Infrastructure Engineer to architect, construct, and sustain flexible IT infrastructure across cloud and hybrid technological landscapes. In this strategic role, you will spearhead automation initiatives, enhance system dependability, and guarantee robust security protocols while collaborating with cross-functional technical teams to deliver high-performance cloud architectures. You will implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC), orchestrate CI/CD pipelines, and utilize advanced scripting capabilities to automate repetitive operational tasks. Your technical expertise will directly influence the efficiency, security, and scalability of mission-critical IT operations. This opportunity provides remote work flexibility with occasional collaborative on-site engagements, creating an adaptable and dynamic work environment. Accountabilities • Architect, build, and maintain IT infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and hybrid technological ecosystems. • Execute Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilizing Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible to automate provisioning and configuration processes. • Create and sustain automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, and equivalent programming languages for deployments, monitoring, and systematic tasks. • Facilitate CI/CD pipeline integrations and incorporate IaC into DevOps workflows to streamline development and deployment strategies. • Continuously monitor, diagnose, and optimize infrastructure for reliability, security, and performance enhancement. • Implement comprehensive security protocols including access management, firewall configurations, vulnerability assessments, and compliance with NIST/FISMA standards. • Engage collaboratively with development teams, solution architects, and business units to deliver secure, resilient, and scalable cloud solutions. • Participate in technical candidate evaluations, system design consultations, and cultural alignment assessments during recruitment processes. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or closely related technological discipline. • 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering. • 7+ years of advanced scripting/coding expertise (Python, PowerShell, Ansible, etc.). • Comprehensive mastery of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and CloudFormation. • Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services (VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, ECS/EKS, Lambda, CloudWatch); Azure experience considered advantageous. • Advanced proficiency with CI/CD technological tools including Jenkins, GitHub, Nexus, SonarQube. • Demonstrated experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). • Robust understanding of networking architectures, Linux/Windows server management, virtualization, and storage system configurations. • Comprehensive knowledge of cloud security best practices and federal security standards (NIST, FISMA). • Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and interpersonal communication skills. • Relevant professional certifications (AWS/Azure Architect, Terraform Associate) preferred. • Capability to obtain MBI security clearance.
