Geoengineers Inc is hiring a Staff Geotechnical Engineer to support the field and technical aspects of our geotechnical services. You'll be responsible for site observation, data collection, and analysis for a variety of projects, contributing directly to our understanding of soil conditions and construction-related geotechnical issues.
What You'll Do
- Perform field exploration and observation of earthwork and foundation construction on projects of all sizes.
- Prepare field reports and perform geotechnical analyses, including slope stability, bearing capacity, settlement, deep foundation design, and seismic evaluation.
- Assist with gathering field data and collecting samples for projects, coordinating testing as needed.
- Provide support to geotechnical teams at other company locations as required.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work successfully within a team.
- Proven problem-solving skills and professional-level verbal and written communication.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel domestically as needed.
- One year of driving experience in the United States (international experience considered).
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in Geotechnical or a related field.
