Responsibilities
- Own the voice and content foundations for Abridge's AI — building standards, style guides, and principles that govern communication across product, marketing, education, and brand
- Work directly with ML researchers and model teams to embed content standards into training and fine-tuning, not just documentation
- Translate the complexity of clinical workflows, billing codes, and AI-generated output into language that clinicians trust and patients can actually use
- Define content standards for two very different audiences: clinicians who need accuracy and speed, and patients who need clarity and reassurance
- Partner with product, design, and engineering to advocate for content quality at every stage of the product lifecycle — from model behavior to the last word of a patient visit summary
- Establish the craft and practice of content design at Abridge, raising the bar for how the team thinks and talks about language
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in content design, UX writing, or a closely related discipline, with a portfolio that spans enterprise and consumer or patient-facing products
- Demonstrated experience building AI style guides and writing content standards that shape model behavior — not just surface copy
- A working understanding of how LLMs are trained; you know the difference between pre-training and post-training and how that affects the way you do your job
- A track record of making highly technical concepts feel clear, honest, and human — without softening the truth or adding gloss
- The range to write for a cardiologist reviewing a SOAP note and a patient reading their first-ever visit summary — and know exactly what each one needs
