Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end discovery and design for a new Benefits product, starting from identifying core problems to defining an MVP, informed by real-world workflows of employers and employees.
- Design seamless service experiences across employer, employee, and internal operations, integrating AI where it simplifies processes while ensuring user control and clarity.
- Create intuitive, AI-supported decision points that empower users to make confident choices throughout the product journey.
- Build the underlying system for safe and scalable AI use, including defining data objects, business rules, states, edge cases, and when to hand off to human oversight.
- Structure data and interfaces so both people and AI can effectively collaborate, ensuring clean inputs, transparent outputs, and reliable transitions between systems.
- Develop feedback mechanisms that enhance AI performance over time by establishing success metrics, evaluation signals, and human review processes.
- Use code-based design methods and AI-powered development tools to rapidly prototype and deliver production-ready UI, working closely with engineers to establish reusable components.

Designers work closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and Marketing to deliver meaningful solutions. The team is actively evolving into an AI-native practice, where designers use AI to accelerate prototyping, shorten feedback cycles, and ship high-quality user experiences directly—reflecting current workflows, not future goals.
