About the Role

The Accounting Associate is tasked with managing QuickBooks Online (QBO) bookkeeping operations and executing diverse financial administrative responsibilities essential to supporting the accounting function and organizational needs. This role encompasses maintaining financial documentation, ensuring regulatory adherence, and performing comprehensive accounting tasks. Essential Functions: Beyond prescribed performance parameters, specific role responsibilities include: - Collaborate in developing comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analyses - Maintain and update financial records and ledgers consistent with established accounting principles - Conduct bank statement reconciliations and cash flow monitoring, investigating potential discrepancies - Support month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations - Contribute to budget preparation and forecasting through financial data analysis and insights - Validate compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and internal protocols - Assist in optimizing accounting system implementations and process improvements - Provide auxiliary support to senior accounting personnel and engage in assigned special initiatives - Deliver commission accrual assistance - Ensure comprehensive general ledger account reconciliation - Leverage robust communication capabilities to interact professionally - Execute project-based work driven by accounting function seasonality Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent disciplinary field - 0-2+ years experience utilizing QBO versus QB Enterprise platforms - Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency - Exceptional detail-orientation, organizational skills, and prioritization capabilities - Capacity to manage dynamic priorities and exercise sound judgment during high-stress scenarios - Demonstrated self-motivation and positive attitude under pressure - Adaptability within ambiguous, rapidly evolving work environments Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent disciplinary field - Familiarity with enterprise resource planning and financial reporting software Individual Contributor
